Real vs Steal

sure, no doubt. the steal can never replace the real, but when it comes this close it definitely is an acceptable option for all of us with a low budget.
and when it comes to trend pieces like a baby pink backpack, the steal sometimes may be the better choice.

sure, what makes a mansur gavriel bag so special is the perfect leather, but this topshop copy is a good option, as it is a real leather bag for just a fraction of the cost.

the price for the mansur gavriel backpack is 700 € (950 $). topshops version is on sale right now and costs 40 € (down from 105 €).

a pink backpack is not on my wishlist, to be honest not at all...but i think it's a beautiful bag and i wanted to share this awesome find with you! didn't do a real vs steal in a long time, but this one was definitely worth to revive this category.

Sale Love

i must admit, i love sale! i think i bought 70% of my wardrobe during sale, especially zara sale.
years ago i bought whatever i liked and that didn't punish my wallet, nowadays i think i understand who i am and what suits me. before i buy something i consider if it fits the style i have and that i try to embrace. 

there is this one question i always ask myself before i buy anything on sale. 'would i pay the full price for this item?' if i wouldn't i leave it right there at the shop! 

why buy something i wouldn't even consider for a few euros more? i guess this just shows i don't really like the piece and it's just the price tag that attracts me. 
i only want to buy things that have the potential to become a favorite! i want to love what i wear, i don't just want to buy for the sake of making bargains and having tons of clothes. 

but these zara heels are just perfect! they suit almost everything and are really comfortable. they're real leather and i scored them for 39,90 euro (original price was 89,90 Euro). i left the shop with a huge smile on my face!

the bag is from mango and was on sale too. i got it for my birthday and love it! next to an olive colored shopper this is one of my two not black bags. i just have a weakness for black bags!

certainly i have some other sale finds and i guess you'll see the one or the other item on this blog the next time!

Coffee Love

i simply love coffee! i wouldn't call it an addiction, i don't need it to wake up in the morning, but i love to enjoy it. i'm not a huge latte macchiato or cappuccino fan, though i like them from time to time. 
i love simple, good quality coffee, especially when hand brewed. when in town starbucks is my got to when i crave coffee,  their coffee is quite strong and quality is stable.
at home i brew my coffee with a cone coffee filter and my all time favorite coffee 'african blue' by tchibo. it's strong and mild at the same time,the most perfect coffee i know!

Flatlay Skills and Birthday Thoughts

because of the lack of outfit pictures and the fact that this still is supposed to be a fashion blog first, i decided to share some of my instagram pictures and flatlays with you.

i LOVE flatlays, lately i'm quite obsessed with them, so what could be more reasonable than to learn how to do them myself. first it was quite tricky to find the right place with the best lighting etc, but then i found out that i have the perfect light on my bed in the afternoon. and cause i'm working from home as a freelancer i can make some free time every now and then and practice.

i have so many beautiful stuff, fashion and accessories, that i want to share with you! but i still have the problem that i have no one to take pictures of me, so this is the best way. there will still be outfit posts, this is just another way to embrace my love for fashion and photography.
some of the pictures are taken by my (crappy old) phone, some with my nikon SLR camera.

here you see some of the items i got for my birthday last week. i turned 29 on tuesday and had a wonderful day with my family. now it's just one year till the big 30.
but hey, i have no problem with getting older. as 40 is the new 30 and growing up with sex and the city, i always looked forward and enjoyed looking back and laughing about the silly mistakes i made when i was younger. 
i grew up the last couple of years, and i would never ever want to be 18 again.
i love the advantages of being mature, i've grown through my experiences and yes, also through my mistakes. i learned to forgive, to love myself and go for the things i want. and the most important, i know who i am and what i want. at least most of the time^^

and what i really wanted were this prada sunnies! (haha, jaja, nice bridge, i know^^)
my mum got them for me for my birthday and they arrived some weeks ago. we ordered them online cause it was quite impossible to get them in store. even the prada store was out of stock, and after some research we found them with a good discount online.

since i'm looking for a new wallet for quite a while now i was really happy to find this jobis wallet on sale at tkmaxx, which my father got for me, just like the bag that was a sale find at mango.

the other presents were a lovely sisley sweater i got from my brother and a DKNY bra from my sister.  
oh and my favorite chocolate which just came out in germany, lindt intense with strawberry. i first tried it in paris and was on the hunt ever since! my lovely sister found it at karstadt. if you see it give it a try!

how do you feel about getting older? is it just me who gets excited about it?

i guess lots of you know this bag. it's the Phillip Lim 3.1 Pashli Mini, though most of you might know the bigger one. i came across this bag quite often on different fashion blogs, and while doing some research for the 'real and steal' section in various onlineshops this 'copy' came across me. i already saw it some month ago, but i thought this copy is not 'good' enough for a 'real and steal' post. 
but i think it's a good alternative for people that love the Phillip Lim 3.1 but don't have the money to buy it. it's not an exact copy, which i think is not too bad, so other people can't blame you for pretending to have a real one^^ it's quite obvious on first sight that this is not a Phillip Lim 3.1.
sure, the real one is way more beautiful, but hey, what to expect for almost 500 € difference?

Jessica Buurman got other colors in store as well. next to black there are red, pink, blue, green and white, which are named Deneb Mini. They even have a black and a green look-a-like of the bigger Pashli for ~ 67 €.

Favourite Outfit

unbelievable, i really uploaded a picture that shows me laughing! so that's the evidence, i do can smile/laugh ^^
i guess that outfit just gives me so much joy that i had no other choice but laugh. i love each single piece i'm wearing here, starts with the velvet slippers and ends with my oh so loved céline. 
the trench i'm wearing here is the h&m trench i showed you last weak in a post. i love it and i think i've worn it every day since i've bought it. the fabric is very light and when i walk it tends to fly and dance around my legs. the length i squite perfect for my heights i think, shorter women might have a problem with it.

Real and Steal: Céline Trio Bag

it's time for another Real and Steal. this one is not an exact replica, but a more, lets say 'inspired' version of the céline trio bag. as you can see the zippers are silver and the leather part is missing. but all in all it's very similar, and a good alternative, cause the céline is sold out everywhere for months now. and of corse the jessica buurman version is way cheaper! 
the céline was in store for about 590 €, the jessica buurman is available for 55 €. sure, the céline is made of the softest lambskin leather and the j.buurman is just synthetic leather, but as i said, the céline is sold out. cos and zara had quite similar versions, but they aren't available anymore.

es ist mal wieder zeit für einen neuen Real and Steal post. diesmal ist es keine exakte nachbildung, sondern eher eine 'inspirierte' version der céline trio bag. wie ihr sehen könnt sind die reißverschlüsse solber und der lederteil am zipper fehlt. aber alles in allem ist es eine sehr ähnliche, und gute alternative, da die céline seit monaten schon asuverkauft ist. und natürlich ist die jessica buurman version viel günstiger!
die céline war für 590 € erhältlich, die jessica buurman gibts für gradmal 55 €. natürlich, die céline wird aus dem weichestem lammhaut leder gefertigt und die jessica buurman aus kunstleder, aber wie gesagt, die céline ist überall ausverkauft. cos und zara hatten ähnliche taschen im angebot, diese sind aber leider nicht mehr erhältlich.

The Sporty Suit

i totally forgot about this pictures i took some weeks ago when the trees were still blooming. this beautiful place is right by my house, in summer children are playing on the grass and the churchdoor is always open, it looks so idyllic!

that day i was supposed to wear white heels, but on  my way out i decided to skip the heels for my free runs and added the cap. i had my heels with me, but decided to stick to the nikes for a more casual, sporty look.

i love this bag! i think it's outstanding in it's simplicity and imperfection, which i absolutley love! its from the ss13 bags collection for my own little label melaniefiliz.

diese bilder hatte ich ganz vergessen. ich hab sie vor ein paar wochen gemacht, als die bäume noch so schön geblüht haben. dieser hübsche platz ist direkt in der nähe meines hauses, im sommer spielen die kinder auf der wiese und die kirchentür steht immer offen, es sieht dann so idyllisch aus!

an diesem tag wollte ich eigentlich weisse heels tragen, aber auf dem weg nach draussen entschied ich mich sie wegzulassen und stattdessen meine free runs anzuziehen und die cap zu tragen. ich hatte zwar meine heels dabei, hab mich aber dann doch entschieden bei den nikes zu bleiben um den look etwas aufzulockern und sportlicher zu machen.

ich liebe diese tasche! ich  finde sie ist aussergewöhnlich in ihrer einfachheit und unvollkommenheit, was ich absolut liebe! sie ist aus meiner ss13 taschenkollektion für mein eigenes kleines label melaniefiliz.

victoria beckham has always been a trend setter, and now since she's a well established designer she's not only telling us WHAT to wear, but also HOW to wear.
latley she was seen everywhere carrying her big and heavy bags on her hips, just like a baby. what at first looks like an emergency solution because of a broken strap, seems on closer consideration to be a quite fashionable and new way to carry your xxl bags. first seen on beckham and on the runway models for her spring 2013 collection, and latley even kate moss participated in that trend, by carrying her bag like a baby lamb for the givenchy 2013 ad campaign.
 for some years now xxl clutches were carried that way, but mainly because of lack of handle. this time its just about being fashionable.
since a lot of designer bags cost as much as an pre-owned car, it's a quite appropriate way to carry these little tresures and protect them from scratches and damage.

here's a little how to constrution for you:

pamper your bag: make sure your bag looks it best! it has to be in great condition, with no scratches on the bottom, since it will be seen all the time. so forget about resting your bag on the floor, this bag deserves its own seet. spoil it with especially aligned leather care and protection.

give it weight: make sure your bag isn't to empty, it needs some weight and solidity to sit on your hips.

don't make it too heavy: your hands will get tired after a few minutes and your back will hurt when your bag is too heavy. and on the oter hand, it really is not sexy seeing a woman carrying a too heavy bag.


for years now fashion magazines told us you can tell a womans character by the way she carries her bag. so i wonder what this can tell us...maybe that we do love our bags and are willing to protect them like our babies^^

victoria beckham war schon immer eine trendsetterin, und jetzt als anerkannte modedesignerin sagt sie uns nicht nur WAS wir tragen sollen, sonder auch WIE.
in der letzten zeit wurde sie überall gesehen wie sie ihre grossen und schweren taschen auf ihrer hüfte trägt, ähnlich wie ein baby. was auf den ersten blick wie eine notlösung wegen eines gerissenen henkels aussieht, scheint nach genauerer betrachtung eine sehr modische und neue art zu sein seine xxl taschen zu tragen.zuert gesehen an victoria beckham und den laufstegmodels für ihre frühlingskollektion 2013, setzt jetzt sogar kate moss diesen trend in der givenchy 2013 anzeigenkampagne um, indem sie ihre riesige weisse tasche wie ein babylamm unter ihrem arm trägt.
seit einigen jahren wurden xxl clutches jetzt so getragen, aber hauptsächlich aus mangel an henkeln. hier gehts diesmal nur darum besonders modisch auszusehen.
da so manche designertasche gerne mal so viel wie ein grebrauchtwagen kostet, ist es eine recht angemessene art diese kleinen schätze zu tragen um sie vor kratzern und schäden zu bewahren.

hier habe ich eine kleine how to anleitung:

verwöhnt eure tasche: stellt sicher dass eure tasche grossartig aussieht! sie sollte in sehr guter verfassung sein, ohne kratzer am boden, da man ihn die meiste zeit sehen wird. also vergesst es eure tasche auf dem boden abzustellen, diese tasche verdient seinen eigenen stuhl.verwöhnt si emit speziell abgestimmter pflege und schutz.

gebt ihr gewicht: eure tasche braucht etwas gesicht und stabilität um auf eurer hüfte zu sitzen, also stellt sicher dass ihr sie genügend befüllt.

macht sie nicht zu schwer: eure hände werden nach wenigen minuten müde und auch euer rücken wird schmerzen wenn ihr eure tasche zu voll macht. und ausserdem sieht es wirklich nicht sehr sexy aus wenn eine frau eine zu schwere tasche schleppt.


jahrelang haben uns modemagazine nun erzählt man erkenne den charakter einer frau in der art wie sie ihre tasche hällt. ich frag mich was uns dieser trend wohl sagen kann...vielleicht dass wir unsere taschen lieben und wir bereit sind sie wie unsere babys beschützen wollen.

really missing the sun here in germany! it's way to cold and cloudy! i took the pictures some weeks ago when the weather was nice and warm.
i bought this shirt in paris some weeks ago in a tourist shop near notre dame. we were looking for an 'i love paris' shirt for my sister. she collects such shirts, whenever she's in a city she likes she buys an 'i love ...' shirt. so we were looking at shirts and postcards when i saw this cute shirt. the moment i saw it i absolutly knew I NEED THIS! and for just 9 euro it was mine^^ this nice shirt will always remind me of that trip to paris with my sister, which i really enjoyed! 
the demon on the shirt, which is called gargoyle, reminds me of my childhood. there used to be a walt disney show, called the gargoyles, which was about this kind of statue in new york. they came to life by night and were stone at day. in the night they fought against cirminals and monsters and saved new york. i really loved that series, and so i can relate to this shirt on another level as well^^

ich vermisse die sonne hier in deutschland! es ist einfach viel zu kalt und bewölkt! diese bilder hab ich vor ein paar wochen gemacht, als das wetter noch schön und warm war.
dieses shirt habe ich vor ein paar wochen in paris, in einem kleinen touristenshop in der nähe von notre dame gekauft. wir waren auf der suche nach einem 'i love paris' shirt für meine schwester. sie sammelt die, und immer wenn sie in einer stadt ist die ihr gefällt kauft sie sich ein 'i love ...' shirt.
wir waren also in diesem touristenladen und schauten bei den shirts und postkarten als mir dieses tolle shirt ins visier kam. in dem moment wusste ich, ICH BRAUCHE DIESES SHIRT! und für gradmal 9 euro gehörte es dann mir^^ es wird mich immer an den super paristrip mit meiner schwester erinnern!
dieser dämon auf dem shirt, welcher sich gargoyle nennt, erinnert mich an meine kindheit. es gab damals eine walt disney serie die 'die gargoyles' hiess, und dort ging es um diese art von statuen in new york. in der nacht wurden sie zum leben erweckt und tagsüber waren sie aus stein. nachts kämpften sie gegen kriminelle und monster und retteten immer wieder new york. ich hab diese serie sehr gerne geguckt, und so kann ich mit diesem shirt noch mehr verbinden^^

here we have the Armour bag by Sophie Hulme. sophie hulme is a young london-based designer who founded her label in 2008, after graduating from kingston university where she was awarded the student of the year and best collection awards. hulmes sold her graduation collection to selfridges. the young designer is best known for her 2012 a/w handbag collection^, which she has stated was inspired by toy dinosaurs. the collections statement piece was the amour bag. 



 if you are follwing the blogosphere i guess you've already noticed this bag. since last autumn it was seen here and there, especially on wishlists and moodboards. 
this bag has everything an it bag needs. its conspicuous, unique and yet perfect for everyday. everything you need will find place in it and even unscheduled shopping is not a problem anymore. with it's minimalistic design it fits to almost every styling and outfit. it's available in various colors and even 2 different sizes. this bag is not a bagain or steal, but with 700 € it's quite affordable compared to other it bags like the celine boston bag or givenchy antigona (which i had writen about here ), which both cost around 2000 €.

hier haben wir die Amour tasche von Sophie Hulme. sophie hulme ist eine junge londoner designerin die ihr label 2008 gegründet hat, nachdem sie ihren abschluss an der kingston universität gemacht hat. dort wurde sie mit dem preis 'studentin des jahres' und 'beste kollektion'ausgezeichnet.. ihre abschlusskollektion verkaufte sie an selfridges.bekannt wurde die designerin mit ihrer a/w 12 taschenkollektion, die wie sie sagt von spielzeug dinosaurieren inspiriert war. statement piece der kollektion war die amour tasche.

falls ihr aktiv in der blogosphere unterwegs seid dann ist euch diese tasche bestimmt schon aufgefallen. seit letztem herbst konnte man sie immer mal wieder hier und da sehen, vor allem aber auf wunschlisten und moodboards.
diese tasche hat alles was eine it bag braucht. die ist auffällig, einzigartig und doch perfekt für den alltag geeignet. alles was man braucht findet platz darin und sogar ungeplante einkäufe sind kein problem mehr. mit seinem minimalistischem styling passt es zu fast jedem outfit oder styling. sie ist in mehreren farben und sogar 2 verschiedenen grössen erhältlich. diese tasche ist zwar wirklich kein schnäppchen, aber mit ihren 700 € doch schon weitaus erschwinglicher als andere it bags wie zb die celine boston oder die givenchy antigona (über die ich hier geschrieben habe), welche beide bei etwa 2000 € liegen.

Bag Crush

some of you might know that feeling, when you absolutley fall in love with something. it always happens me with bags! i LOVE bags! can never have enough of them...for some it is shoes -  for me its def bags!

there are 4 designer bags that i fell for...but the biggest crush i still have for the céline boston bag, but i think the givenchy antigona comes quite close right now^^ 
the prada is the all-time classic. i always said, my first designer bag will be a prada, having that one (or quite similar one) on my mind.
and the proenza schouler is one i really like, but really can't tell why...well, sometimes its just like that.




manche von euch kennen vielleicht dieses gefühl wenn man sich hals über kopf in etwas verliebt. mir passiert das immer bei handtaschen! ich LIEBE taschen! ich kann nie genug davon haben...bei manchen sind es schuhe - bei mir definitiv handtaschen!

es gibt 4 designer taschen die es mir ganz besonders angetan haben...am meisten liebe ich noch immer die céline boston, aber momentan kommt die givenchy antigona ihr gefährlich nahe^^
die prada ist der absolute klassiker.. ich hab immer gesagt, meine erste designer tasche wird ne prada, und hatte dabei dieses modell (bzw ein sehr ähnliches) im kopf.
und die proenza schouler mag ich auch besonders gerne, wobei ich wirklich nicht sagen kann warum...naja, manchmal ist das eben so.
