Fashionable Biking

i rediscovered biking as a great way to travel. it just happend this year when my mum bought a bike for me and persuaded me to go for a little bike tour. and what can i say? since then i love it! everytime i'm there i'll find an opportunity to get my bike out and ride it.
one of the major reasons i didn't even consider riding a bike was the thought that you can never ride a bike AND be dressed fashionable the same time. i love high heels, and most of my clothes look nice, but aren't that practical. but my biggest problem is my obsession for huge huge bags!
where the heck can i put my giant bags without jeopardizing them?! well, to be honest, i didn't find a solution for that problem yet. so for the moment i have to content myself with the medium size bags that would fit into my bicycle bascket when i plan to ride my bike.
but the rest is absolute viable, like high heels (esp stilletos) or wide leg pants (just put a hair tie around your ankle and stuff the seam under it).

but there are a few things you should avoide when riding a bike (not just for your best, but also for the other people that see you on the street^^):

- don't wear hipsters (nobody wnats to see your plumber's crack)
- don't wear mini skirts (same with your slip - that's nobody elses' business)
- no smartphone (accident risk! facebook&co can wait until you reached your destination safely)

i think that's all. hmmm, i guess i should all tell you now to wear a helmet - yeah, do that! well actually, i don't...

  1. I love these pictures! Looking at these makes me want to buy a bike. It's been a while since I've even been on one :(

Great tips too :) I wish more people would listen to the last tip. You have no idea how many times I've almost gotten hit (while running) by people texting while biking. NOT COOL! lol.

  2. Hey,
beautiful pictures and I love my bike! ;)

  3. Haha :) Great post! I don't wear a helmet, too.. they look just too ugly! But there's a new thing: a kind of collar that blows up a helmet in case of an accident. I think I should buy one of those when they get a little cheaper..

    1. Argh! Warum schreibe ich dir denn auf Englisch.. :D habs voll vercheckt.. naja was solls ;)
Die Fahrrad-Bilder sind übrigens auch alle ziemlich cool! Wenn ich ganz viel Geld übrig hätte, würde ich mir so ein richtig cooles Retro-Radl zulegen..

  4. Such a great inspiration! Love it!

  6. Ich war gerade ein paar Tage in Südtirol und bin beeindruckt, wie viele Frauen in Bozen stylish mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs waren. Es schließt sich also gegenseitig nicht aus!
